You will play an integral role in the flow of the center and help create a warm and engaging experience for our patients! With this role you will have the opportunity to create a warm and welcoming experience for our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Manges phones, screens calls to determine information that is needed, confirms and reschedules appointments.
  • Obtains insurance verification for any medical patients.
  • Coordinates patient files and ensures that proper documentation is in each file. Scans and enters insurance cards and ensures accuracy of information.
  • Possesses knowledge of pricing, NVISION's experience, and quality of care
  • Demonstrates positive attitude and a friendly manner; and ability to work with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Coordinates the care for all patients scheduling for enhancement procedures. Educates and assists patients scheduling for enhancement procedures
  • Greets patients in an enthusiastic manner as they arrive and guides them through their initial steps of the consultation process.
  • Performs diagnostic tests, including but not limited to IOL Master, Topography, and Orb scan.
  • Works effectively with our physicians to prepare all refractive surgery charts prior to surgery date..
  • Communicates effectively with affiliates regarding the co-management of patient care by fax the information to the patient’s optometrist so they are aware of the surgery date and they are aware of the need to fax us the measurements as soon as the patient is seen.
  • Counsels patients on their surgical and financing/payment options.
  • Receives and secures payments from patients.
  • Assists with other duties in the center as necessary.
  • Delivers high customer satisfaction (always friendly and helpful).
  • Ensures confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, patients, and the general public.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Internet Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Presentation software (PowerPoint); and Publisher software.
