We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations within our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of perioperative patient care, including pre-operative, intra-operative, post-anesthesia care (PACU), and sterile processing (SPD).
 
The Director of Nursing will serve as both a clinical leader and operational partner ensuring high-quality patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, staff engagement, and overall efficiency of the center. This role also provides direct patient care when needed and collaborates closely with physicians, staff, and leadership to deliver an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Patient Care
  • Oversee and coordinate all perioperative services (pre-op, intra-op, PACU, SPD)
  • Ensure the highest standards of patient care, safety, and clinical excellence
  • Provide direct patient care as needed across perioperative settings
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient data and medical records
  • Partner with physicians, patients, and families to support optimal care outcomes
Operations & Management
  • Lead daily operations of the surgery center, including staffing, workflow, and patient throughput
  • Supervise and mentor nursing and support staff
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets
  • Drive patient satisfaction initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
  • Support marketing initiatives through high-quality service delivery and physician partnerships
Talent & Development
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard clinical staff
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance management
  • Implement new clinical procedures, policies, and best practices
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and patient-centered culture

Qualifications

Education & Licensure
  • Graduate of an accredited school, college, or university of Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (State Board of Nursing)
Experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of nursing experience, in perioperative or ASC settings
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
